KAPPA PSI - DELTA EPSILON
About Us
Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc. was established in 1879 in New Haven, Connecticut. Today, we have grown the be the largest professional pharmaceutical fraternity.
Our chapter, Delta Epsilon, was established at Duquesne University in 1967. We are currently part of the Mountain East Province which encompasses Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, and Virginia.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE
Our national philanthropy for Kappa Psi is Reach Out and Read, but we participate in many additional service events as well!
MARKET SQUARE DARY
Every year the School of Pharmacy holds an event at Market Square in Pittsburgh. This is an event where students can volunteer to help educate the public about various health conditions. Kappa Psi's booth at the program is for patients to have their blood pressure checked and learn about heart healthy habits.
ADVOCACY IN WASHINGTON D.C.
Fourth year pharmacy students take an annual trip to Washington D.C. in order to advocate for pharmacy related laws. This is a group of Kappa Psi students with another Brother who presented about pharmacy opportunities within the government!
HEALTHY HEART
Every February our chapter promotes heart healthy habits at our Student Union. We take blood pressure readings for students, staff, and visitors and provide them with some information on how to improve their health!
PIES FOR PAGES
In March of 2020 we were able to hold an event where students could "pie" a pharmacy professor in the face for a donation towards Reach Out and Read!
